PMHS Tri-M Honor Society will host an evening of music and performances in the Robert and Mary Seagraves Community Room on Wed., April 5 from 6:30 – 8:00 for goodwill donations. Light refreshments will be provided

 

Bus Trip to see the sights and cherry blossoms in Washington, DC. Saturday, April 8 from 8 am – 8 pm. Spend the day on you own for a wonderful visit. Seats are $60. Cash, check or money order accepted. Deadline to purchase seats is 4/2.

 

Start your spring cleaning or come buy items for your home at our Yard Sale on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 8 am – 1 pm. Rent a space in the library for $10 or $15 each

Limited access to computers – 1 hour per day

You may bring books to be returned or renewed into the building to the main circulation desk. The book drop is always available.

We request  that you bring books to be renewed into the library. We are no longer renewing books over the phone.

REMINDER    DVDs may be crushed by the book drop mechanism and we charge a $1 fee if DVDs are returned to the book drop. Please return DVDs to the circulation desk in the library.

Gov. Phil Murphy joined with the governors of six other Northeast states to announce the formation of a regional “working group” to coordinate cooperative mitigation efforts across their states, as well as to help guide each state’s re-opening once the COVID-19 emergency eases.

  • The others were Govs. Andrew Cuomo of New York, Ned Lamont of Connecticut, Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania, John Carney of Delaware, Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island and Charlie Baker of Massachusetts.
  • The working group will consist of a public health expert and an economic development expert from each state, as well as each governor’s chief of staff.
Executive Orders:

Gov. Murphy signed an executive order to protect customers of phone and internet services.

  • The order prohibits internet and phone services from being shut off until 30 days until the current public health emergency has ended.
  • Prohibits all service downgrades, service reductions or late fees due to non-payment unless they are imposed in accordance with a policy approved by the Board of Public Utilities.
  • Requires reconnections of any internet or phone service that was disconnected due to non-payment after March 16.

Legislation:

S-2374 that would revise the Family Leave Law to include leave for employees who need to care for a sick family member due to an epidemic of a communicable disease, or to prevent the spread of the disease. During the COVID-19 outbreak, workers would be allowed to take up to 12 weeks of family leave during a 24-month period without losing their jobs.

SR-64: urges financial institutions to waive bank fees and suspend credit card penalties, late fees, and interest payments for the duration of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
